This is a fantastic app. Ensures that drivers wont "take you for a ride" with built in GPS. Big help with language barrier. Cab arrived quickly, wifi in the car was a big plus. Safe, easy to use. Highly recommended for travelers.
Some bad moments
I live and work in Sao Paulo and at certain times of day and places, finding a taxi on the road can be near impossible. With this app, I am often able to quickly a taxi that is less than 5 minutes away. Another advantage is the taxi drivers that know about this app tend to be smarter/better and have GPS to quickly find the harder addresses rather than wandering around lost. Also like that you can quickly rate taxi drivers and check their ratings before accepting rides.
Works really well. Never had to wait more than 5 minutes to step into my taxi. Used it 5 times so far.
Have used this app a couple of times in the "sector Oriente" neighborhood , plenty of cabs to choose from usually no more than 5 min away. Some rides are expensive though .
Looks great. Trustable, shows ETA of the taxi, and is quite fast. Location services could be better, though...
Ive been using Safertaxi for about three years now and have always praised the app. What I dont like is that from some versions ago in order to make a booking you MUST enable background running of the app. This not only drains battery but also allows the app to connect the GPS at any moment. I see with no reason the arrow icon showing up in my iPhone and I could track it down to being safer taxi. Why is it using my location after almost 24h that I used the app? Not only it drains more battery but bring serious privacy concerns. Fix this please.
